If I see something in a magazine or elsewhere, can you get it?

Yes, Sturgeon has accounts with most every showroom at the Merchandise Mart. We also have access to the furniture markets and often have things custom made for our clients. Sturgeon has developed relationships over the years with the best workrooms and tradespeople in the area.

How do you charge?

We structure our fees in a variety of ways depending on the project. We always work with a signed letter of agreement and require a 50% deposit on purchases.

Here are a few examples:

1. Design time only; Billed hourly.

2. A combination of design fees and purchases.

3. A design fee not to exceed a mutually agreed upon amount.

4. Design fees capped if purchases exceed a certain amount.

5. Straight retail and no design fee if there are significant purchases.
